Education is powerful
My name is Mrs. White and I will be your child's first grade teacher. I want to provide a firm foundation for your child's future in a happy environment. I accept the responsibility put before me with joy.
Today is my thirty-second time to look a group of students in the eye and say, "Welcome to your class! My name is Mrs. White and I am looking forward to teaching you this year!" I can truthfully say that my excitement abou the first day of school is as strong today as it was thirty-two years ago.
I understand the apprehension that comes with sending a child to school. I have experienced this feeling personally because I sent once sent a son to school and this year my grandsons are entering kindergarten. Please relax and understand that I will treat your child as I would treat my own.
