A note from Superintendent of Schools, Eric Hough
As my third year begins, I am excited that Hedley has maintained its TEA recognized status. I am looking forward to working very closely with the staff and faculty to assist them in providing our students the best education possible. Our plan is to ensure that our students are prepared to meet the challenges and demands of the new rigorous state exam, State Assessments of Academic Readiness or STAAR.
All children are important at Hedley ISD. Each day should bring excitement and fulfillment where education is enjoyed, not just experienced. As educators, we wish to be partners with our students’ parents. We believe that parental involvement greatly contributes to improved student achievement, attendance, motivation, self-concept and behavior. We at Hedley ISD count it as a privilege to work with the boys and girls in our continued quest for excellence. We appreciate our parent and community support and rely on their continued dedication to our school.
